DECORATIVE BALUSTRADE INSTALLATION

Make pencil marks at the handrail
and the bottom rail where the baluster
guiderails will be installed. -
Use the Ø20 mm drill bit.

Install the bar into the flange.
-
Fasten the flanges to the surface
with the help of anchor bolts. -
Install the newels (don’t mount them).
-
Clean out the dust and dirt from the ends
of the adjoining items with a wet cloth. -
Evenly apply the adhesive onto the joint
sides (Evroplast for Bonding joints)
and the underside (Evroplast Multipurpose)
of the bottom rail. -
To install the newels into the bottom rail
use Evroplast for Bonding Joints. -
Secure with self-tapping screws.

With the help of anchor bolts fasten
the bottom rail to the mounting surface using
the pre-drilled holes. -
Apply Evroplast for Bonding joints
onto the bottom side of the balusters. -
Install the balusters into the bottom rail.

Install the handrail
(don’t apply the adhesive yet). -
Mark the outline of the handrail.
-
Make a mark where a bolt shall be anchored.
-
Drill a Ø12 mm hole.
-
Install a plug into the handrail.
-
Screw the plug to the handrail
using self-tapping screws. -
Apply Evroplast for Bonding joints
onto the top (adjoining to the handrail)
sides of the balusters. -
Apply the adhesive onto the ends of the handrail.
-
Mount the handrail.
-
Fasten the newel to the handrail with a bolt.
-
Secure the flange on the newel
with a nut and self-tapping screws. -
To install a newel cap
use Evroplast for Bonding joints. -
Remove excessive glue
with a cloth damped with acetone. -
Following a manufacturer’s manual paint the item.

Order the item without an internal support tube.
-
Make marks on the item following
the radius table (see below).
20 мм.* - 0,5 м.**
40 мм.* - 1 м.**
60 мм.* - 1,5 м.**
(* - Spacing; ** - Hand- and bottom rail bending radius) -
Cut the item leaving about 4 cm uncut.

Fill the cuts with Evroplast for Bonding joints
so that excessive glue shows up. -
Place the item onto an even surface
according to the radius markings,
secure the position of the item. -
Secure the cuts using a construction stapler.

Remove excessive glue with a scraper.
-
Remove excessive glue
with a cloth damped with acetone. -
Remove the staples 24 hours later.
-
Sandpaper the surface
of the item to make it smooth. -
Fill the cuts with putty.
-
Sandpaper the surface to make it smooth.
-
Continue the installation of the balustrade
following the manual. -
Paint the item following the paint
manufacturer’s instructions.
